Maryland & Virginia Milk Producers Cooperative Association, Inc. began in 1920 thanks to a determined group of dairy farmers seeking to more successfully market their milk in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area. Today Maryland & Virginia is a financially sound milk marketing cooperative owned and operated by nearly 1,500 dairy farm families from Pennsylvania to Alabama.

The cooperative markets member milk throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast regions. In addition, Maryland & Virginia operates three fluid processing plants, one manufacturing plant and a farm supply equipment division, plus owns majority interest in Valley Milk LLC.

From branded fluid milk to commercial ingredients like cream and high heat powder, Maryland & Virginia products represent an important sector of America's food chain.

CEO Appointed to USDA Dairy Advisory Committee - Maryland & Virginia Milk Producers Cooperative is pleased to announce its CEO Jay Bryant has been appointed to serve on the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Dairy Advisory Committee charged with reviewing the issues of farm milk volatility, dairy farmer profitability and consolidation, plus recommending ways USDA can best address the needs of the dairy industry.
